秋元才加さんがTokyo Africa Collection 2019の特別ショーディレクターに就任！
7月上旬にアフリカ現地視察へ

秋元才加さん（株式会社フレイヴエンターテインメント所属）が、株式会社東京アフリカコレクション主催のファッションショー「Tokyo Africa Collection 2019」の特別ショーディレクターに就任し、それに伴い7月上旬に東アフリカ・ルワンダ共和国のファッションショーKigali Fashion Weekを視察することが決定しました。
Tokyo Africa Collection 2019はアフリカと東京のコラボレーションをテーマにしたファッションショーで、TICAD7（第7回アフリカ開発会議）に合わせ、2019年9月1日（日）に有楽町朝日ホールで開催されます（16:00開演予定）。アフリカ各国の大使館やJICA等から後援を受け、アフリカ各国のデザイナーも複数参加・作品を披露します。
秋元才加さんは今回、特別ショーディレクターとして、ショーの一部セクションをディレクションし、ショー後半のトークセッションで制作過程について語ります。秋元さんの担当セクションでは、彼女が厳選したアフリカ関連のブランドでスタイリングされたモデルがランウェイを歩く予定です。自身の中でアフリカへの関心が高まる中、今回ショーディレクターを務める事になった秋元才加さん。アフリカへの思いを、下記のように語っています。

昔から、日本からはるか離れたアフリカに漠然とした憧れがあった。
アフリカの景色はどんな景色で、どんな風が吹き、人々はどんな暮らしをしているのだろう。
サプールの人々のファッションを本で眺めたり、ご縁あってヨシダナギさんの個展にお邪魔した。
昨年は、日本史上初の信長に仕えたアフリカ人武士『弥助』を、ひょんなことから舞台で演じることとなった。
アフリカへの憧れが、更に強くなった。
個人的に…、アフリカ人は色々な意味で人類最強だと、私は思っている。
その説を自分の目で確かめるためにも、私は是非アフリカに行きたい。アフリカをもっと知りたいお年頃である。
7月上旬に東アフリカ・ルワンダ共和国へ渡航・現地のファッションショーを視察
Tokyo Africa Collection 2019エアラインパートナーのエチオピア航空の協力で、7月上旬にルワンダ共和国へ渡航することも決定。現地では、Tokyo Africa Collectionと連携関係にあるルワンダ最大のファッションショー「Kigali Fashion Week (キガリファッションウィーク)」を視察します。Kigali Fashion Week開催中秋元さんは、アフリカ各国のモデルやデザイナーとの意見交換や、ショーで使用する生地の調達も行う予定です。
アフリカ各国大使も注目のTokyo Africa Collection 2019
2016年に第1回のショーを開催して以来、アフリカの魅力を、アフリカに関心のない若い世代にも親しみやすい形で伝えた来たファッションショーTokyo Africa Collection。2019年は、TICAD7（第7回アフリカ開発会議）に合わせ、過去最大規模のショーを開催します。
アフリカ各国の大使館等にインタビューをしてつくるオリジナルのショー、アフリカ各国から来日予定のデザイナーのショー、秋元才加さんのプロデュースする特別ショー、トークセッションが予定されているほか、複数のアフリカ関連ブランドのブース出展も決定しています。ランウェイを歩くのは若い世代に親しみのあるモデルやミスキャンパス出場者たち。アフリカと東京の異色コラボレーションが、会場を盛り上げます。
直近5月には、在京アフリカ外交団主催のイベント「今のAFRICA」でプレ・ファッションショーを実施。ジブチ共和国出身のデザイナーとコラボレーションしたステージはアフリカ各国の大使からも好評を得ました。9月1日（日）開催のTokyo Africa Collection 2019に向け、注目が集まっています。

ルワンダ渡航の他にも、ショー本番に向けて、アフリカ各国の大使や著名人、デザイナー等にインタビュー、ブランドのセレクションを行う予定の秋元さん。近年日本でも関心が高まりつつあるアフリカに、さらなる注目が集まりそうです。

秋元才加（アキモト サヤカ）女優。1988年7月26日生まれ、千葉県出身。B型。2006年AKB48第2期生としてチームＫに加入、2013年同グループを卒業。卒業後は女優として映画、ドラマ、舞台に出演する傍ら、スポーツ番組のMCを務めるなど多方面で活躍している。Instagramアカウント： https://www.instagram.com/areasayaka/

Sayaka Akimoto (Flave Entertainment Inc.) is appointed as special show director of Tokyo Africa Collection 2019. As a part of this project, she will visit Rwanda and attend Kigali Fashion Week as guest in early July 2019.
Tokyo Africa Collection is annual fashion show in Japan featuring African countries. For this year, Tokyo Africa Collection 2019 will be held in Yurakucho Asahi Hall in Tokyo on 1st September, certified as TICAD7 partner project by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and endorsed by embassies of African countries in Japan. Several designers from Africa are invited to showcase their pieces at the show.
Sayaka Akimoto, as a special show director, will direct one of the section of the show in which models will walk runway wearing fashion brands from Africa selected and stylized by her. She will also talk her experience of production during the talk session. She took this offer as she became interested in Africa and she expresses her wish to visit Africa and know more about the cultures.
With support from Ethiopian Airlines as Tokyo Africa Collection's Airline Partner, Sayaka Akimoto will visit Rwanda in early July 2019. She will attend Kigali Fashion Week, the biggest fashion show in Rwanda which Tokyo Africa Collection is in partnership relationship, as a guest. She will also meet designers and models from African countries and visit many places during her stay in Rwanda.
Tokyo Africa Collection, established in 2016, has been delivering attractive aspects of African countries through fashion show for young Japanese people. Certified as TICAD 7 partner project, Tokyo Africa Collection will host Tokyo Africa Collection 2019 in 1st September. There will be original show contents by Tokyo Africa Collection, shows by invited designers from Africa, special show directed by Sayaka Akimoto, and talk session. Various brands from Africa will also have PR and sales booth in the venue. A number of young Japanese models with African guest models will be on stage. Collaboration of Tokyo and Africa will excite audience.
Collaborating with Djiboutian designer, Tokyo Africa Collection recently produced special fashion show during Ima No Africa, hosted by African Diplomatic Corps and the show was well received by ambassadors from African countries in Japan. Tokyo Africa Collection has been drawing increasing attention from Japan and from African countries.

Japanese Actress born in 26th July 1988 from Chiba, Japan. She joined AKB48, the most popular idol group in Japan, in 2006 and graduated from AKB48 in 2013. Currently, she appears movie, TV drama, and stage drama as actress while she is also active as MC on sports TV programs.
